Who is this course for?

This course is designed to help prepare you for the official Salesforce Platform App Builder Exam.
You will create your own Developer Org at the start of the course so you will have complete control over your Salesforce environment and you can’t break anything. (We don’t want you learning in your day-to-day Production environment.)

Are there any Prerequisites?

If you are new to Salesforce, we recommend you complete the Salesforce Associate course and/or Salesforce Administrator certification first. If you have extensive experience as an end user of Salesforce and/or some experience with Salesforce Administration then you should be ready to go!

What does the course cover?

You will learn the basics of Salesforce Automation: Salesforce Fundamentals, Data Modeling and Management, Business Logic and Process Automation, User Interface, and App Development.

We finish up with a major project where you can test your new skills to build an App to meet the challenges of a fictional company “Certify Festival” that is running a music festival. The festival will be held over three days and will consist of many performances on three separate stages. A large number of performers will be contacted by the promoter and you will build an App in Salesforce to manage the journey of the performers from initial contact through to their performances at the festival. During the festival, a number of “incidents” will occur and you will need to carefully manage your team’s response to these incidents to keep the performers and patrons happy. A major event like this will have many logistical challenges so to keep on top of these your team will have to rely on their mobile devices and the Salesforce App to provide quick responses and to keep all the team informed of any schedule changes.
